Olympic Homework week 1


Wednesday 18th July

The New Zealand Olympic team has been finalised today with 185 athletes to compete in London.The final numbers come as decathlete Brent New-dick, heptathlon Sarah Cowley and track cyclist Rushlee Buchanan were selected overnight. At 185 athletes, the London 2012 team equals that of Beijing in size and is a far cry from the team of seven athletes which represented New Zealand at the London Olympic Games in 1948. Brent Newdick also does long jump, javelin throw and more stuff Brent Newdick also does 10

  1. Good research Daniel. A decathlon is such a hard event. It involves ten different events. Decathletes have to be so skilled, fit, determined and strong!
