Cave Weta facts
Intro
This is about Cave wetas. This report will include information about  their life cycle, Habitat, appearance, food and communication. They also outlived the dinosaurs.

There are five different types of weta – tree weta, cave weta, giant weta, tusked weta and ground weta. Altogether there are over 1000 different species of weta.

*There are 60 species of cave weta.
*Cave weta have legs big back they can jump 2 meters.
*The cave weta have very long antenna they use to feel around in the dark.

Habitat

Cave Wetas only live in barns, wet caves, dark sheds, or cool places with muddy and wet spots.

Life cycle
Female Cave wetas lay 300 eggs i their lifetime which is up to seven years and hatch around 1 to 2 months. Once the baby weta is 18 months old it will be a adult. Once a boy and a girl are partners the mate with eto their. Their life cycle is about two to seven years.

Sounds
some wetas have ears and some don’t they also don’t make nousis.

Food
Weta’s are omnivores and a  They eat most things like plants, fruit, insects and even things like cardboard.  
The Wetas prey is a bat or a rat.

Conclusion
Wetas are slowly getting extinct and if we don’t look after them they will die and be extinct forever.
